Eric J. Paulson, PhD

Introduction

Eric Paulson is Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Literacy & Second Language Studies at the University of Cincinnati.  He serves as the Director of Graduate Studies for the School of Education. 

Teaching interests include community college literacy teacher education.  He coordinates the Certificate in Postsecondary Literacy Instruction.

Research interests focus around readers' deliberate and non-deliberate responses to texts and conceptualizations of literacy processes, utilizing approaches applied within a social-constructivist framework that include eye movement research, miscue analysis, retrospective miscue analysis, reader stance, and metaphor analysis.
